Pioneer Achievements

FCCLA

Jose Fernando Dominguez was recently recognized at the Commissioner’s Recognition Ceremony for students who received top honors at their Career and Technical Student Organization’s Conference in 2016.  Fernando received a gold medal in San Diego, California at the National FCCLA leadership meeting last July.  Digital Stories for change recognized participants who demonstrate their knowledge, skills, and abilities to actively identify an issue concerning families, careers, or communities; research the topic; and develop a digital story to advocate for positive change. Pictured with Fernando is Commissioner of Education - Matthew L. Blomstedt, Ph.D and Lieutenant Governor - Mike Foley.  A reception followed the program at the Governor’s Mansion.  Fernando is the son of Fernando and Debbie Dominguez and is a sophomore at Nebraska City High School.  Mary Johnson is the local FCCLA adviser.
