Members of the Nebraska City Speech team competed at the Crete High School speech meet on February 8th. Ellie Higgins placed 5th overall in the meet in serious prose and placed 8th overall in humorous prose by qualifying for champs and honors finals, respectively. Additionally, Lillian Frields and Christian Tietz placed 8th overall in the meet for duet acting. Next weekend the team will compete at the Auburn High School meet.
