Do you have a knack for random facts? Do you think you know it all? Do you think you’re smarter than a 12th grader? If so, then the NCHS Brain Bowl is where you’ll want to be on April 27, 2022.

“What is Brain Bowl?” you might ask. Well, Brain Bowl is an annual competition designed to test your knowledge of various topics, very similar to quiz bowl. For example, one question might be, “Who was the 15th President?” Another question might ask, “If a right triangle has one leg that has a length of 3, and another leg that has a length of 4, what is the length of the hypotenuse?” Some questions may be easy, while others may be more difficult. It’s up to you to create a well-rounded team that’s up to the task.

Now, where can you sign up? Well, you need to let Mr. McNeely know your team members’ names and your team name. You will also need to pay a $20 entry fee. The deadline to  let Mr. McNeely know if you have a team is April 22, 2022. The max number of members on a team is five, but only four players can participate in a round at once. A team can have less than five members, but the $20 entry fee will still need to be paid. Once a round starts, you cannot substitute anybody into that round.

There will be prizes for the best dressed team, as well as the team that comes in first place. These prizes will be revealed later.
