Though the baseball season started out rough for the boys they managed to gain some wins throughout the season, gaining traction with a current record of 9-10 for varsity. Wins have been against Platte Valley, Auburn, Wahoo, Seward, Omaha North, Platteview, Plattsmouth, Crete and Falls City.  The varsity team has more sophomores starting than expected due to upperclassman injuries.

“Expectations for the rest of the season are to have the bulk of the difficult season behind us. Hoping to do well to finish out the rest of the season to build up momentum going into districts,” said coach Ferguson.

“My goal is to win districts and go to state. Baseball has been really fun and I've enjoyed the memories I’ve made,” said senior Hayden Coyle.

The JV teams’ record is 4-7-1. The reserve teams’ record is 4-6. The boys baseball team is the three seed in the district, out of 7 teams.

Districts will start on Thursday, May 5th depending on the weather. If weather  is a problem it will be pushed back to Friday, May 6th. So get on out there and cheer on our boys. Good luck baseball players and GO PIONEERS!
