On April 8, 2022, Nebraska City High School had its Pre-Contest Concert. This concert had a wide variety of music performed, including:

The Pre-Contest Concert allowed anyone from the community an opportunity to relax and listen to the talented musicians and singers of the Nebraska City High School. 

The purpose of the Pre-Contest Concert is to get prepared for one the largest and most important musical events of the year, District Music Contest (DMC). Everyone who performed at the Pre-Contest Concert also performed at DMC. At DMC, the two highest ratings you can receive are a Superior and an Excellent, with Superior being the highest rating and Excellent being the second highest rating. There is one other rating that is higher than Superior, that being Superior+. Superior+ is awarded to groups when all three of the judges give the performance a Superior rating. Three Superior+’s were given all day and our high school got two of the three! The two groups that were awarded the Superior+ award were the Nebraska City Concert Band and the Nebraska City Jazz Band. Listed below are the ratings from District Music Contest:
