  • Must have met incoming qualifications, and been accepted as a member of the Nebraska City Volunteer Fire Department Firefighter Reserve Program by August 31 (of senior year of high school) in good standing with the the department under the NCVFD Fire Chief's discretion

  • In good standing and participates regularly in department trainings, drills, meetings and response to emergency calls (excluding school hours)

  • Current high school senior at NCHS, Lourdes or Home School (as Nebraska City resident)

Eligibility:

  • In order to qualify for a chance to earn a scholarship, students must complete all required passport activities and two optional passport activities prior to April 1st.

  • Once passports are completed they will be turned in to the school counseling office and entered into a drawing for a scholarship sponsored by Cargill.

  • Must plan to major in art, agriculture, education or business

  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 or minimum composite ACT score of 20

Westfall Family Music Scholarship ($1,000)

Eligibility:

  • Must be a graduating senior from Nebraska City High School

  • Must plan to attend a university or state college and participate in a school-sponsored instrumental music activity (first priority given to students majoring or minoring in music)

  • Minimum GPA of 3.3

  • Must be a current member of the instrumental music program at NCHS
