As the third oldest community in the state, Nebraska City is deeply rooted in its history and embraces its future. With current population around 7,200 citizens, our community offers a small town feel while being less than an hour from the state's capital. Enjoy the historic Arbor Lodge mansion, play a round of golf at any of our three golf courses, and have a blast at our newly renovated Aquatic Center.

Nebraska City Public Schools is currently serving approximately 1,476 students from Pre-K through 12th Grade. We have two elementary schools, one middle school, and one high school with a 13:1 student to teacher ratio.
